Cally Masters train at the Cally Pool, 229 Caledonian Road, Islington, North London. The following sessions are coached by Paul Doyle of Anaconda Swimming.

Thurs 20:00 - 21:30

training sessions

Sat 08:00 - 9:30
Sun 16.30 - 17.30 technique session

There are two 90 minute training sessions which include a warm-up, drills, sprints and main set (not neccessarily in that order) on Thursdays and Saturdays. On Thursdays there are six lanes and on Saturdays their are four lanes, you can choose where to swim based on the pace you can attain and maintain. Each session covers all of the four main swimming strokes and individual medley. The main set is on a different stroke each session (if you swim regularly you will begin to predict Paul's stroke rotation system). The sample sets available below give a good indication of the type of training sessions we do.

Sample Cally Masters training sets

No swimmer will ever be turned away if they can not perform all of the four main strokes (there are lots of opprtunities to learn and improve) though it is advisable to be able to swim at least 400m before attempting a traning session.

The Sunday technique session is of benefit to swimmers at any level who wish to improve their technique. It can also serve a good entry point into the club and the sport for any novice or beginner.
